You might be thinking “wait I thought this blog was about professional coaching, not football coaching.” Well today it’s both. Davis vocalized that he is going to be less involved with coaching on the field, and more involved about life off the football field. Hello, life coaching! His primary focus is now the Cowboys players’ wellbeing, and working with them to ensure they are prospering and handling work-life balance, and NFL stardom.

A LinkedIn study found that 80% of working American adults worry about the upcoming week of work on Sundays. Another survey actually sought to identify the time it sets in: an average time of arrival of 3:58pm Sunday afternoon. Is this a new thing? Or a timeless problem? The Super Bowl Ads Emphasized Values Big Time This Year

A quick read talking about how brands like Budweiser, Microsoft, Olay, Squarespace and the NFL highlight their values rather than hard selling products in their Super Bowl ads this year. With companies using verbiage around their values and visions, this puts talk around purpose and values in the mainstream media. Yay for big names talking about the bigger “why” versus short-term tactics. (And, who are we kidding – smart marketing to elevate the language, anyway.) Great to see a values-forward approach being used more widely.
